Aisling Daycare is owned and managed by sisters Bronagh McAllister and Una Dougherty. We combined our skills and knowledge of both the childcare and business sectors and opened the Nursery in September 2006 with 3 rooms, 20 children and 6 staff.

In October 2006 we were awarded one of the prestigious Top 50 Business Awards in Belfast as a testament to the many hurdles we overcame in order to open Aisling Daycare and realise our dream.

In June 2007 we expanded to the first floor of our first unit and had the capacity for 54 children, and employing 14 staff. When the adjacent unit became available we seized the opportunity to expand once again. This phase of our expansion was complete in February 2009 and our registration was for 100 children per day aged 3 months to 12 years with a team of up to 45 staff.

In November 2012 we opened our off-site location at Christ the Redeemer Parish in Lagmore, catering for 24 school aged children and employing a further 3 staff.

Such was the huge demand for high quality and affordable childcare in the area that we decided to expand the nursery again. The final phase of our expansion was completed in Autumn 2014. This allowed us to have a dedicated wing for our AfterSchool children. On the ground floor we have designed a large multi-purpose hall suitable for basketball, football, karate, dance classes and all extra-curricular activities. We are now registered for 98 children aged 3 months to 5 years and 40 school aged children. We now have a team of up to 48 dedicated and qualified staff.
